Citizenship Process

Stage One: Make an application

Nations applying for citizenship are required to state the following in their application:

• Nation in Lazarus
• Do you have any other Nationstates Identities, or ones charged with a crime in another region?
• Have you been accused of any crime/s in other region/s?

Then they are required to take the oath of citizenship within the application.

Stage Two: OOC Check

Forum administration, under the authority of the root administrator must then check for OOC reasons to refuse an application.

These reasons include:

• Use of an IP Proxy to hide their true IP,
• Attempting to get around an OOC or IC ban via a new IP,
• Attempting to obtain a second citizenship account,
• Whether the nation exists and is in Lazarus, as this could imply the account is a spammer.

Stage Three: IC Check

The Granting Official or the First Citizen (Prime Minister) is then required to check the following about an applicant:

• Whether their nation is in Lazarus,
• Any suspicious activity in Nationstates,
• Their affiliations/past region history,
• Their NS history.

Once all these stages are complete and the OOC and IC checks are passed, citizenship is then approved.

The Hegemon (Delegate) then has seven days to revoke a citizenship, if it was given erroneously or they object to the citizenship being granted.
